A warm May day sitting on a bench in the churchyard at St Peter and St Paul at Burgh Castle. The birds are singing and you can hear the the strong breeze in the nearby trees.

On this particular visit to Norwich Castle and Art Gallery I stumbled upon a class of very enthusiastic children doing arty things in one of the galleries. The acoustics are brilliant.

Burnham Thorpe in Norfolk is the birthplace of Horatio Nelson.
Son of the Rector of All Saints Nelson went on to be Vice Admiral and led his men into their famous victory at the Battle of Trafalgar.
I set my recorder up in the graveyard and within seconds it was surround by inquisitive insects.

Update – The John Jarrold Museum in Norwich closed in October 2019. The Norwich Printing Museum with the John Jarrold Heritage Collection is now at ‘The Printing Museum’ at the National Trust’s Blickling Estate near Aylsham.
The Skeleton Clock at the Surrey House dates from the Great Exhibition and sounds wonderful with its chimes and its ballets.
